Guild is comprised of Lou Hargreaves (producer and project manager) and Dan Russell (artist and designer), and will be operating alongside a whole host of other collaborators.
Guild was formed to deliver two long-term socially-engaged art projects: Burnley Mechanics at Home and the Social Housing Arts Network.
Initiated whilst both working as part of the now-defunct Ultimate Holding Company collective, these projects will be delivered over the next 18 to 24 months. We are always keen to hear from people interested in finding out more or getting involved in the future, and learning about other durational social projects.
Through these projects, Guild aims to:
Create more opportunities for artists
Reach communities with low engagement in the arts
Initiate positive social change
Dan and Lou will also be continuing their own practices alongside Guild.
